Fashion Industry - Fallen Star Dariel Pulliam

I just wanted to take a moment to dedicate this passage of my blog to my friend that will never be forgotten "Dariel Pulliam" .Dariel was one of a few in the fashion & beauty industry who left Baltimore to pursue his dreams & became successful. He was such fun guy with "Amazing" talents. I'm still in shock & disbelief he is no longer here. I can remember him styling my hair for one of my fashion shows. Calming me down when things wasn't going right back stage. The last conversations we had, keep running through my head. Dariel had so much positive energy and always kept me encouraged whenever we talked. Losing him is a great loss to his family, friends and the industry we live in.

Here is a photo I took of him and Eva back in 2006.

Here is a shoot of Dariel & Signature Ink Model- Teria
Hanging out having fun as always

Dariel was often seen with his most famous Atlanta-area clients, including Neffe Pugh, Keyshia Cole's sister and star of BET’s “Frankie & Neffe” reality show.

“I’m hurting" Neffe said. "I’ve been with him from the beginning of his career all the way to the end."

S2S Publisher Jamie Foster Brown "said she just spent time with Dariel in February at the Bronner Bros. hair show."

Although his career was just taking off, Dariel had already made a significant impact on fashion and society in Atlanta.

Kandi Burruss of “The Real  Housewives of Atlanta” tweeted, “That hurts my heart... I was just thinking about him yesterday! He will be missed by many."

Tionna Smalls of “What Chilli Wants” fame also shared her emotions via Twitter. “My life is distraught. My friend, make up artist, atl hairstylist (what chilli wants 2) Dariel Pulliam (@darielloves) has passed. May he RIP,” she wrote.

His website describes Dariel as “a young man who understands his direction. Humbled by his faith and motivated by his talents.”

Dariel's family appreciates all the condolences and prayers, but they need a little help paying for his memorial service. They ask that donations be sent to:

P.O. Box 47001
Windsor Mills, MD 21244

PayPal users can also contribute by sending donations to sparkle@trioent.com

I'm gonna truly miss you Dariel......Love your sister in the Fashion Industry....xoxo -Danielle Baker

Interview on Wolb 1010AM- April 2011

Today was one of the best moments in my life. Becoming a radio personality host is a true blessing. Sitting behind the switchboard, taking callers and talking about fashion, was a rush. It felt very natural being in that element. We had a ball, talking about upcoming events, styling tips & more. The lawyers (Kendra & Yolanda) that interviewed me were very nice. They sure know how to make someone feel welcome. Tons of topics & ideas are racing through my mind for the next one. Be sure to tune in.

I brought along a friend of mine Foxie from Roxie Powder Room! Foxie is a stylist here in Baltimore. She will be doing the “Wakeup your Wardrobe Moment” at the end of every show. Today she gave styling tips to the men, including how to wear your clothes, colognes, etc. Overall great direction for the guys with an open mind and seeking change.

Crash course training on the first day and needless to say, I hung up on my first caller. Please forgive me :)

I had a ball on & off air. There was so much positive energy in the room!

Tune in with us Friday May 6th, 2011 at 2pm on WOLB 1010AM for the next segment or www.wolbbaltimore.com

Fashionably yours,
Thee Danielle Baker
