The Combat Boot Trend
Combat boots are the envy of all of our proper and prissy shoe friends! They are the epitome of what it means to be rugged! My favorite way to rock my boots is with textured tights, mid-calf socks, some distressed shorts, a graphic tee and an over sized cardigan or a fitted leather! Hot right? This shoe isn't just for the rebel with a cause, many women and girls are finding ways to ease this trend into their everyday look while still remaining stylish and chic! Check out some of your favorite celebs rocking their Combats and how they decided to style them!
Jessica Alba rocks her combat boots with some black skinny pants, a grey sweater tunic, a black, jersey knit scarf and a black and white chain strap scarf and , of course, her Starbucks! Perfect look for college student or if you're just running errands. Wear a colorful charm bracelet or exhange the black scarf for burnt orange or mustard color for an added pop!
Rihanna is know for her stylish ways! Here, she rocks her combat boots with a printed body con mini dress, a tan fanny pack, simple necklace and her aviators! With such masculine and rugged boots, she has made the look feminine and still girly! It's sort of a Boho Edgy! Pair your favorite body con dress with netted tights, your combat boots and throw over a fitted leather jacket for a layered look for fall!
Miley Cyrus is one of the most stylish Disney stars! Here she is seen rocking her combat boots with distressed denims, a simple grey tank under a plaid, button-front shirt with her aviators! I LOVE this look! One of my favs! Totally Rocker ! Looks effortlessly thrown together but overly stylish! Ladies, throw on a cropped blazer or boyfriend fit blazer to make this look more chic and mature!

STYLE GENDERS
For many generations, we have seen men and women take on each others role. Whether it's a female being a single parent and taking on the role of a "father" or a male who is a fashion designer, hair stylist or even make-up artist. Luckily, this generation doesn't have the mind set that society had once before. Although, one of the biggest controversies is in FASHION. We see so many heterosexual males wearing fitted jeans/pants, tee shirts, more jewelry and even make-up! As for the women, so many trends such as menswear inspired looks, oxfords, boyfriend blazers and even boyfriend jeans have given women the opportunity to "cross over". But, this raises the question, Does style have a gender anymore? Are we taking these trends too far or is this just another way of expression? I mean, fashion is JUST fashion, right?
Celebrities such as Kanye West, Pharrell, Chris Brown and Lil Wayne have all be spotted wearing the skinny jean trend. Lil Wayne has even received some negative feedback for many of his ensembles, in particular, a pair of leopard print skinny pants (As seen above). Some may say that dressing like this is feminine while others may argue that it's stylish and unique. But is it still considered dressing like a man or woman? Or is it just fashion? Hmmm..
Many female celebrities have also been spotted rocking the menswear inspired looks. Celebrities such as Beyonce, Rihanna, Lisa Ray and Gwen Stefani. Some may say it's sexy and shows strength, while others argue that women should be soft, feminine and dress like ladies. Is this a fashion statement or a personality and ego booster ? Think about it1
PRINCE
One of the first people to introduce the male to female fashion statement, was Prince. Prince is a musical veteran, selling millions of records and topping the record charts constantly. Although, Prince is known for his amazing talent in music and acting, he's also known for his one of a kind fashion statements and overall appearance.
Androgyny :
Suitable for both male and female. This may be in fashion, sexual identity or even sexual preference.
So, is this JUST fashion or something Bigger ?
